I never get "Conduct Product Surveys" for my Engineering sim

It doesn't seem to affect my engineering sim any but one of the things they need to do when working at home is "conduct product surveys" by talking with other sims. So far though that option never seems to come up in their conversations with neighbors or family members. I am guessing some of my mods must be conflicting with that but everything else works fine.
