In watching my Sim make scrambled eggs and bacon in the game, it occurred to me that in Real Life I was doing it wrong. Of course, we're supposed to dump all of the ingredients into a large bowl, mix it up and pour everything into a single frying pan. D'oh, I could have had a V-8.
So, what has your Sim taught you how to do, recently?
I'll be honest, I actually do sometimes just dice a pack of bacon... or buy a pack of already diced pancetta... and throw it right into the bowl of eggs with some diced veggies, and fry it all up together, because it really is easier. But I am as lazy as some of our dear sims. :D
(Now, when I actually have free time, nothing beats oven baked bacon brushed with a little bit of maple syrup.)

Make your garden grow year round by shoving the planters up against the wall (where the roof overhang covers them).
That actually has some real life application. I have had things survive the winter against the southern foundation when others of the same species didn't make it through the winter. So, surprisingly accurate, sims team! ?
Same. I mean, unlike the sims, your plants won't actually grow and bloom, but it will definitely keep some things alive. I have some potted berries and fruit trees in large containers, and I do just drag them up against the house in late fall. They get enough cold and dark to go dormant, but enough heat radiates off the foundation to keep the roots alive.
