Yeah, that's been there for years. I just never use it because it's such a pain in the ass to access any specific memory, for the very reasons you mentioned. I actually really like the idea of being able to click on a screenshot/memory and reminisce with the feeling at the time attached to it. It's a great idea, but poorly executed. If they had just designed it so that your sim could quickly and easily access only memories where they are tagged, it would be potentially the best sims memory system of the franchise. But as it is, it's almost useless. I still go in and check it out a few times a year just to see if it's any better, but if anything, it's gotten worse over time as I've taken more and more screenshots. It seems like they've abandoned it, which is a shame, because again, it had the bones of a great system.If they ever get around to fixing it, aside from an easier way to access it, one other thing I wish they'd tweak is the way sims are tagged. For example, you can have a picture of the first kiss between your sim and their spouse, and the spouse might not be tagged to it, but three random sims who were walking down the block, and not even in the picture, will be.

Like, if they had this system, but combined with a photo album/memory book like we had in our character panel in TS3, it would be golden.

Memories used to get saved per sim and back in the beginning you could also choose what emotion to attach to the memory. It was just a small boost, but came in handy for storytelling. I turned my very first screenshot of my first Sims 4 family moving in into a sad memory, because I imagined that my sim was sad to have to leave his old home. After they changed the system I stopped using memories, because everything is too cluttered now.

I hate how the screenshots are all lumped together (they should be saved per household!) and I can never find what I’m looking for because the order gets jumbled up. They’re not chronological because of the way they’re dated with the year last. Since screenshots are so hard to navigate, this feature is useless to me.

Looks like the screenshot manager was simplified and you cannot sort like this pic from the tutorial on Simscommunity

oops read that wrong. The game auto selects the sims and the type of memory now.

Yes this has been in the game forever but its not really that memorable or leaves an impression, so forgotten or ignored..

it exists but its painfully annoying to use especially when you have about billion screenshots and i think there just should be proper memory system cause right now they are trying to sort of do that with sentiments but those fade away so quick you might as well not have any

@Amapola76 that's funny.

This system is news to me. I was looking through images in TS2 & TS3 looking for plantsims and realized that I wasn't doing screenshots in TS4 so this whole memory system was buried for me. It does have the potential to be the best memory system of the sims if they were organized per save an not just all of the images ever. Also would help if the photos you took and named in game if that data ported over to the images you can save as memories. If they enhance this feature I will definitely use it more. The last time I played Johnny Zest was 2020 and I forgot that he was engaged and has a wedding planned on the calendar.

Ok we need the influential simmers to start yammering about fixing this - the group that got the winter, eco, uni, and farm packs - they have the power of persuasion over the developers. ?
