QUIT!
Nobody knows what YOU are doing in YOUR game! It's not like it's online and people will know you quit the challenge and will be talking about you.
Why make yourself miserable by continuing to play something that you get so little enjoyment out of and heaps of frustration?
I have absolutely no problems quitting games that I don't find fun. I have too much stress and frustration in RL to even think about adding more by doing something in my free time that I don't enjoy.
If you had spent money to play this challenge, that you'd be losing out on, or if there was some monetary reward at the end once you finished your challenge, than that might be a different story.
Games are meant for enjoyment and relaxation and to get away from stressful/frustrating things for a little bit.
Or just put that save away for awhile and maybe you'll someday go back to it.
I do that all the time when creating CC for the game, if something is giving me fits and I can't figure out how to make it work, rather than continuously frustrating myself by trying to figure it out, I set that folder to the side and re-visit that project later on.
