You can also age up children and toddlers on their actual birthdays, but it definitely better if you can get them to the above requirements and age them earlier. Also Peafrogsims has a great tips

I tried it it can be extremely tedious to play but it can be hilarious to watch on YouTube. I just started watching Dr. Gluon’s
version and it’s a riot!
But for OP, I’d say dropping it and moving on to something you enjoy more is the best course of action.
