If The Sims is only going to be a mobile game in the future then I am gone

I have heard the rumours and so far I am feeling anxious. I have been waiting for a while to hear that maybe, over the next two years there might be a new game that would be interesting enough for me ...

What I find irritating is that I go check the reviews on the mobile games on Google Play. Its overran with reviews from the past 2 days. Otherwise, there used to be a few days between reviews. Not 100+ in less than 24 hours. So what did they offer for free for a review?
I won't play the mobile games because of I'm not a fan of them. My son downloaded the Sims mobile game and hated it. I trust his reasoning.
