More pictures from the 2nd floor will be up later today, but mind you - building a royal estate is about much more than just finding damask wallpapers and the more expensive looking interior. I had to redefine my entire noble hierarchy as I learned new details and found that parts of my community structure was misunderstood. Phew - I know I can make up my own rules meaning I won't need to adjust every single mistake, but the fact that way too many sims got titles/styles will annoy me to no end until I fix it :)
Another detail that I tried to research but this far found little info on, is whether a modern Monarch will hold Court, as in sitting on his/her throne receiving sims with specific requests or knighting/approving titles etc. Or will all this just take place in a modern office, or via electronic communication even? I understand "holding Court" might also refer to the royal household, but in this case I think of more or less annual event where the Monarch sits on the Throne etc... I assume that is a long gone event? I read that the young women wearing their court dress for the UK King was stopped about 50 years ago.
1. Will a modern Monarch hold Court?
2. Is there any occasion at all except coronation that the Monarch will actually wear the crown?
3. If your Monarch hold Court (events), how do you play them out?
Details like these might affect the organizing of the rooms, or at least their content.
If anyone knows, please share. And again, my Monarch is of the modern times, not medieval. He uses computers and his kids, the princes and princesses are keen on Karaoke :)
