GalacticGal I wouldn’t bother trying to put them to bed if you’re just going to leave the lot. Sims don’t continue doing what you told them after you leave - if you set one to painting, or tending the garden, or doing homework, then leave the lot, that task won’t be completed when you return and likely not even in progress. If you sent a Sim to bed, they’re unlikely to still be sleeping. The same is true for all ages. If you return to a lot after letting time pass, the game will just place whatever Sims are there around the home doing “logical” activities they might do. For babies the options are limited, but lying in the floor or listening to music are certainly possibilities.
