I don't understand at all how anyone can honestly tell me horses fit into Cottage Living. There is a vast difference between ranches and cottages. The lifestyle that goes with both is completely different. I feel like show jumping and barrel racing and horses in general would of been so out of place in a Cottage pack where they focused on farm to table and everything contributing to that goal. The Cottage Pack was packed full of amazing features and gameplay.
As for Cats&Dogs, I was initially bummed when it wasn't a "pets" expansion and included horses. However, I really enjoy how well done the pets are and the world the created around cats and dogs and Brindleton Bay. It works. Adding horses would of thrown off that vibe and I like the ranch vibe they are going for with horses. Making them the star of their own show and building a world around them. It works.
EP or GP? Ehh I have mixed feelings on it. On one hand the budget they would of needed for the animations for all the new animals, the world etc I can understand why it's a EP. However, I remember one of the gurus once saying Expansions change the way you play the game(think seasons or get together) and Game Packs are for specific themes, and well this pack at first glance, seems very specific in theme and not "game changing" and I haven't seen anything that has made me go WOW we never had that before. But gameplay remains to be seen and I'm looking forward to the gameplay trailer or live stream.
