Welcome to the marvelous world of Sim Infants! These so outshine the ones we had in Sims2, there really are no words to describe it. So much more to them. The only thing I miss, however, is when a Sim will try to play with the infant too soon after the baby has eaten. Used to be a thing in Sims2. Baby would Erp all over the Sim, to the point, baby would have to be handed off, while the Sim would go take a shower. LOL
As for having to be able to sit to eat real food, this was actually something my daughter went through as a mom. Her eldest is 15. Doctors insisted the child be able to sit on their own before you fed them solid food. I totally rolled my eyes at this because my own babies would have starved to death if they had waited until then. My daughter who sat up a good month or better before her two younger brothers, I was able to introduce solid foods by six weeks of age, the norm at that time. I did the same for the boys. You start by really watering down the cereal, And you hold them in such a way their head is above their feet.
I think the tide has turned, most recently. They may well be back to feeding them solids earlier. Sheesh, they simply can't make up their minds. By the way, all three of my kids made it to adulthood, two of which are now in Middle Age. Yeah, in their forties. The baby is in his late thirties.
