The Sims 4 will thankfully be supported for the next 3-4 years, but I wouldn't mind a fifth iteration at some point. Besides, I think it'd be bad for business not to release anything new and fresh after a certain amount of time (several years). I'm also thinking that the effort required to revamp the code for TS4 will not be worth it financially or time-wise. A TS5 game made from scratch would have more value and potential, even in my TS3+4-loving consumer eyes. Also, things tend to move quickly in the gaming world. In 3-4 years, I bet that TS4 will seem as dated as TS3 does today :)
