I'm a little worried, having seen the latest blog.
4/7 people, giving quotes to try and sell the series, basically said "I love the build/buy/CAS stuff". Which the art team usually does well on, but I like something a little more meaty to my game than just a few new objects that do exactly the same thing as existing objects. If stuff gets more attention than gameplay, that immediately puts me on edge.
Vixella basically told us that the perks/quirks system is a direct copy from the vampire powers/weakness system.
Yammy is just reiterating that the fame system is pretty robust. It's been one of the main selling points, so I'm not too surprised. And while that does sound nice, you either only have fame apply to a small subset of sims, or a situation like TS3 where everybody winds up famous.
Anna Maynard just says "it's fun". When someone says that without being able to give any details what parts they're getting caught up in, I wonder how much of that is just new toy shine.
These are probably quick quotes and not in depth interviews of what they saw. If I were there, I'd roam through all the build/buy stuff first just to see what's in it. Playing time is limited, so they didn't get to go to far into gameplay.
The perks/quirks probably uses the same ladder system where your choices open up as your sim becomes more famous, not the same objects or interactions. Why would a star need to change to a bat? :D I do know stars can don a disguise to escape fans and paparazzi.
To me, this all sounds good.
Also they cannot talk about what parts they like or details until the embargo lifts on Monday and Wednesday I think it is. If you want to know details them tune in to all the Sims Camp people next week. Then you will maybe hear specifics.
