Not for me.
The funny cartoony aspect is why I love the Sims games.
If it wasn't funny, it'd just start trending into 'uncanny valley' and the sims themselves would actually be rather boring for me to watch. I mean, Sims is basically 'Reality TV' minus the good acting... and um... they don't even have good acting in reality TV... so yeah...
I was having a blast yesterday having a sim run around and tell 'dirty jokes' just because the 'choo choo train' elbow arm gesture is really funny and when I try to put a mental image to a dirty joke involving trains it gets very silly in my head. And that's what makes this fun.
You could probably make mods to replace animations. I don't know - but it seems like it could be done. I'm surprised the folks who like realistic CC mods don't already have that - unless they do.
