Is anyone else annoyed with this...

That might be a big programming change for object behavior, but I don't think it's undoable. At least for things that would cross the road, like the overpass sign or the Springfield Heights sign.

For something like this, they wouldn't have to do too much. I'm thinking for example of how the balloons work, or some of the I-don't-own-them-myself premium floating items, that have a relatively small footprint but extend visually over a larger range. Things like this could definitely utilize that, which is already in the game.

And yeah, it is kind of annoying.
  • I would definitely like to see improvements to spacing and overlap issues that are remarkably common in this game.

It seems they never go back to clean up little conflicts like this. There's no reason this feature needs to be five wide.

But i don't think the devs care much about the designing aspect of the game, and i suspect that like KL, they ignore it because the majority players do too.

Too many of my neighbors have collections of random features, rather than a designed town. So if they think we don't care, why should they?

Soo many things to fix, from a designer's point of view.
  • Yes, this has bothered me for a while. There are also buildings that mysteriously have a bigger footprint than they actually appear. It makes trying to fit buildings and roads together frustrating.
  • Super Annoying. Also to the list add fences - I don't need a placeholde on one side of the fence - and I can't remember what it was - but we didn't have that gap place holder for the same size item as the fences...
  • The Office of Unemployment bugs me the most. Why did they make it 11 squares wide and not 12???? :x :x :x

They do that with so many buildings. Just recently I had to move the knowladgeom and it was annoying as hell to place. These odd number buildings make nice design so damn hard. These damn things are vector files. Is it that hard for them to adjust it for us? It's these little details that make designing in this game a drag.

The developers not caring is a fair point. Just look at their Other Springfield. Stuck at level 30 and with zilch imagination and creativity when it could be a showcase for what is possible.
