Is it just me or does it seem like...

I noticed some people saying on YouTube how it seems like the SimGurus and the other devs of Horse Ranch expansion pack don't seem too excited about this pack, unlike with Werewolves and Growing Together, for example. There is a clear silence from the creators of this pack and it shows sadly. Now I wonder if this is the same team that worked on My Wedding Stories and High School Years, because that may explain it too well...hmm. :/

I just assumed the Gurus were posting, it's just that no one was posting any of it in the info thread this time around. But if that's not the case, it's pretty strange how quiet they've been. Within the first days of RoM's first trailer, for example, they were answering tons of fan questions and dropping info about the lore.

Maybe the dev team is livid about how much was leaked prior to the trailers and livestream? There's nothing more they could have tossed at us (via hints and teasers) because pretty much everything was leaked, so why bother?

I think it could be a combination of things.

    1. Players have criticized when devs "overhype" as being "fake" and annoying. So maybe they're just being more real.

    2. People show enthusiasm in different ways. Some people don't excite easy, even when they're proud of something.

    3. They stated up front that the finishing touches are still being done, so they're still very busy and a little tired. They had one hour to stream and then no doubt had to get back to crunch time. If you've ever been in crunch, it's hard to completely let go in a presentation when in the back of your mind you're trying to organize yourself for max efficiency, while knowing you'll probably be working late until launch. (I know that EA tried to do away with crunch or at least minimize it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has returned since the new game is being developed and most likely fewer people are on TS4.)

4.The barrage of constant complaining no matter what you do can have an emotional dampening effect.

    And, probably most likely...

    5. People read too much into things and everything's fine. ;)

The sims community is very vocal and often very critical. I would imagine that wears on the mental health of the people who create the game. I can understand not hyping as much when they are so frequently met with negativity.

Yeah even Werewolves was somehow way more exciting (the livestream) than this EP one. I do not like the obvious silence and lack of enthusiasm from the Gurus for this pack, seems like it could be the same dev team as the ones for High School Years and My Wedding Stories, that would explain it for me idk why...something is off, this EP kind of feels like a cash grab and I usually do not think this way about the packs? :(
