My Sim planted a Cowplant seed and has grown quite fond of the Beastie. She will be heading off to Uni in the not-too-distant future, and from there she will be on her own. Is there anyway she can keep her Cowplant? (This is only the second time I've had one in my game.)I do know that if the entire family moves out together, if they keep their furnishings, the plants come, too. But, she is heading to Uni and from there she won't go back to live with her parents, which is why I ask.Please, and thank you, in advance.

Thank you! I moved the plant, planter box and all out to the studio in the backyard. Saved the room, then moved Bossie back to the greenhouse. The only unfortunate thing about it is, Bossie is really tiny again. :open_mouth: But, that's okay. Maybe that means she has a second-lease on life? Maybe?

You could try putting the Cowplant in the family inventory? This should work if she is going on her own and there are no other Sims currently living with her. Someone might want to correct me on that though.

The family has seven Sims. Two parents, Mom and Dad, and five offspring. The eldest four are all teens, with one child. (Change-of-life-surprise, he was ;) ). Their birthdays are already on the calendar and I didn't have to change them out, for once. They are space two-Sim-days apart, just as I planned it. I'm sending all four off to Uni, once the only daughter graduates H.S. . So, the parents and the youngest who will become a Teen during this week of birthday parties, so putting the Beastie into the family inventory won't do my Sim any good, I'm afraid. But, I do thank you for weighing in. :)

This is how I did it the last time I moved out a sim and I wanted Audrey II to move along with my sim Seymour.

Doing it that way doesn't actually move it. It creates a new copy that is reset.

To actually move it? Without making a copy?
Probably could leave stuff out in the current house (out of household inventory) on the lot that she will take, including the cow-plant.
Evict the entire household including her.
Have her split into a new household, then buy back the place.
Put the cow-plant into household inventory, (And anything else that only fits into household inventory that you want her to take)
Now evict her. Move her into her new place at Uni.
Move everybody else back into the original lot by buying it again.

P.S. Don't use move, use evict.

(I know, not as simple as making copies and cheats, lol) :D ;)

Well, I have already done what was previously suggested. When I dragged the cowplant, box and all back into the greenhouse, it reverted to its baby self. Oh, well.
