Is My Wedding Stories playable after the patch?

This gamepack strikes hard against Sims autonomy, that they should sit down as a group, follow the wedding couple without a will of their own and cheer at the wedding as it is completed and participate in to all the following events. This is not the Sims I have been playing and enjoyed, I would have to use all the tricks in the book to mke this happen and when they "fix" this, I am afraid that it will be on the cost of Sims autonomy, so we will have to click when they have to for example visit the bathroom or go to sleep, or whtaever you want them to do!
