Is Politican career an active career?
I'm wondering how will this politican career work. We saw politician career as a main feature in leaks. And in trailer there is a politician who giving speech. So what you think? Will be an active car...

Hmm. There are no choice of different tracks in the current active careers.
Doesn't mean they can't, though. Zerbu's Turbo Careers mod adds active gameplay to the base game careers, and they still have branches.
But honestly, I don't know what would be fun about going to an office to post on social media all day, or signing bills in the White House or whatever. They're much better off being "disappear for a day" careers with some promotion requirements that encourage you to go to a community lot.
You know what would be great? If you could sign laws that actually changed the way the city was. Sadly, this is The Sims 4.
Meh. If I want to manage policies and zoning I can play Cities: Skylines.

Except when it becomes so much content that the game loses focus. City management is pretty far outside the realm of Sims gameplay, and by my last recollection a whole lot of people, you included, were lamenting the idea that The Sims 4 has lost the focus on core gameplay.
Except Sims 4 didn't add more gameplay to lose focus. It took away and replaced (and in some areas, didn't even replace.)
So do you want taddlerz or city management? I doubt you'll get both.
