Is swimming available in other worlds too?

Swimming everywhere would be so cool. Canoe riding and boat riding in the world and having the ability to build docks in other world's would be amazing.

For a while now I am not able to wade anywhere it was possible to since the last patch. Is it a bug in my game or did the devs decide to take the possibility away? Anyone has tried recently in their game?
