- I came here wondering if I should buy it once it releases on console but after reading about the bugs, I'm disappointed ... A shame the console port will probably ship with any and all bugs the PC version has...
Then again there are bugs over a year old that still haven't been patched yet... - susanleonaSeasoned TravelerI really like taking the pet pictures because they used to come out so awful before and my families now have these on the wall, framed and named.

Not at all. There aren't any goals or logs of what you've taken pictures of. You literally just take photos of whatever you like and it slowly builds up the skill. It's not comprehensive like TS3 at all really.- I use the photigraphy career to take Pictures of familymembers and hanging them on the wall, so you can see what different Sims looked like also it makes the lots more personal
- KittybassNew SpectatorI bought the pack on sale and the photography career was a pleasant surprise. I had so much fun with the new poses and cameras, as I like to hang family portraits and photos all over the house. The camera and tripod is so much better than the portrait thing we got in GTW. You can take photos anywhere and even include kids and toddlers in them.
- therealtacomamaNew SpectatorWell that is all thoroughly disappointing. I loved the photography challenge in the Sims 3. I could never get close to completing it but I loved trying.
Booooooo - JanuaryGarnet08New SpectatorI really enjoy it. I love experimenting with it and trying different things. Right now I am loving trying to recreate old family photos. Here's a recreation I did of my great grandparents wedding photo ca. 1909.

I'm considering getting this pack if it becomes 50% off. Mostly interested in the photography. How much better is it compared to GTW? For example the better pocket cameras in GTW can zoom and take big pictures, is the improvement worth it? Is it complicated to get the sims to pose? Does it still cause the game to crash?
Posing isn't too complicated. you can put down a mark and ask the sims to stand on it, and then once you're in camera view you can click on the pose button to have them randomly choose a pose - you can also specify a category of poses. It can take a while to find one you like, though.
You can also ask to pose and still get the poses too. You can get more interactive poses that way. Honestly the largest problem I found was that because I'd put my studio on the third floor, I had to keep an eye on my photographer that she didn't wander off to go do something else while waiting for the subject to get up there.
It didn't cause my game to crash when I used it about a week ago, and I think I saw that they'd fixed that bug. - therealtacomamaNew SpectatorIs the new photography skill comparable to that in the Sims 3?
- I love it
Well worth it for me
