Is the Realm of Magic Protagonist Male/Female/Other?

My significant other and I watched the ROM trailer together. We discovered that one of us had no doubt that the ROM protagonist was female, while the other of us had no doubt the protagonist was male....

I thought they were male (because female sims clothing tends to be a little... closer cut) but honestly, it really doesn't matter to me what the gender identity of the trailer protagonist is.
