Is there a way to make the in-game video recorder better quality

Is there away to make the in-game video recorder capture higher quality videos. I followed some tutorials on youtube to get the 1920 by 1080 resolution as well as the uncompressed formats which take up a lot of memory. However, the video quality still doesn't even compare to say recording with Bandicam. The reason why I want to record with the in-game camera is because I can record without having the GUI and still continue to play. Right now while recording with Bandicam I have to pause, choose an action, press tab to hide the GUI, and then record. Also, can you change the codec to something other than the two option in the file?
