The answer is yes, to all. You can sell only kittens and puppies through the phone's Service menu. When they are sold this way, they don't reappear with a different family. They are just gone.
They would be added to the adoption pool if you send them away, but in my experience they appear for a short time so this is risky. And yes, you could also transfer them manually to a different household from the menu.
