Is there any gameplay value to a museum?

Libraries are so useless to me but I do use and have some current plans for Museums. They're good place to park "Sciencey" things that your Sims can't afford but still want to use. My museum has a fully upgraded Rocket ship so Sims can travel to Sixam whenever they want. High end microscopes, computers, etc. At some point I will make a Collector family with the goal of completing every collection. Once done, I'll turn their home into a Museum.
