- ImSands6 years agoSeasoned AceThis is driving me crazy. Have tried a couple of different mods but none of them work, yet. I’m sure it’s coming.

I use MCCC’s tuner option to prevent sims autonomously grabbing water
ETA: Sorry I saw you don’t want to use MCCC. Can’t help you in that case.
Still, if you are going to download a mod for this, it is more worth your while to download MCCC than a mod which is limited to only stopping autonomous water grabbing. MCCC is a very useful mod in many areas. If you’re worried about autonomous marriages and pregnancies etc, you can turn them off and just use its (many) other useful options. You can turn off anything you don’t want in MCCC.
MCCC is also always updated very promptly.
Can you tell me how to use MCCC to do that? I have been through all the menus and I can't find the option. I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to use it to stop the water drinking. It drives me crazy. - logionX6 years agoLegend

Here is a useful page from deaderpool (the creator of the mod): https://deaderpool-mccc.com/#/doc/mc_tuner
From the mc command center menu, which you can access when clicking on a sim, go to mc tuner and turn on scumbombo's autonomy scan.
When you see a sim taking water from the sink, pause the game, and click on autonomy scan and then I think it is called "current running autonomy actions" or something similar. Locate the autonomy action which says "taking water from sink" or whatever it is called and click on it.
That action will set to non-autonomous, (and also saved in a file called mc_tuner settings.cfg which you can open in notepad, useful to copy this one when you are updating mc command center)
You can do this with any autonomous action in the game. I have disabled a lot of actions like practise singing etc.
You can also re-enable them if you want in the mc tuner settings. - ldm26 years agoSeasoned AceI've been using Scumbumbo SCAM autonomy control mod, but somehow it's no longer a part of that anymore either.

Thanks but is there an option to enable and disable the story progression entirely in one go like the sims 3 story progression? - ipsychotica6 years agoSeasoned Traveler

@psychotica logion’s reply is correct.
Or you can just click on a sim, click on tuner, turn on autonomy scan. Then click on a sink and you will be able to disable the action of grabbing a drink from being autonomous.
Thank you both so much I could never figure out how to get the tuner part of the mod to work. - Pandabiotic6 years agoSeasoned RookieIf anyone else is having a problem with excessive water drinking (I'm having it too), you might want to click "Me Too" on this bug report thread!

- Sharooonia6 years agoSeasoned AceMy sims have been drinking a lot lately but I never thought about it until I saw this.
