Is there Still Hope For a Create-A-World?

I love The Sims 4 however I miss creating worlds in The Sims. I know I can go back and play old games to play old Sims game however I can build in there but I won't play time as they no longer fit the way I play the game (The Sims 3 for example). I feel that this is a missed big oppurtunity.

The developers won't give us big worlds anymore like Windenburg because they said that it will affect performance. However, if they cannot do it then let the players do have the ability to do them for themselves. I miss creating my own worlds.

It is also concerning as someone who loves playing Sandbox games. I do not think we will get a Supernatural expansion pack anymore which will come with new creepy world bigger than forgotten hollow or a bustling City world like San Myshuno. Seeing how Unpopular dessert worlds are we might not see another dessert world for a while. As we already have a Japanese world then there is nochamce that we will see another Japanese themed location from other parts of Japan.

I just do not want to wait anymore for a world that is not coming. This is why is participated in the community for a Create-A-World. I want to be creative and create my own fantasy worlds that I could never do in real life or in any other games rather than in The Sims.

Stuff Packs bought brings many Archietectural Designs and it would be nice if I could build a home filled with Tiny Houses, Haunted Mansions, Cozy Houses. Seasons have lots of new architectural details for new builds styles but they do not have a world that match for those items. After the contreversy of JTB then we would not get a Star Wars or Space Themed world with these items in it anymore.

In 2018 they mentioned it was possible, a simmer created a concept for a software for Create-A-World, the Gurus are praising it, however one Guru said that only a small people of fanbase wanted this so they do not know if they will commit or not. We never heard any updates since then. Atleast Cars and Babies got recognize in a blog post :((

Does Create A World still have hope? I am tired of waiting for worlds that may never come or make into the game.

I wish we could create our own worlds but I don't know how demanding it would be on a PC so I can't see this in the future annoyingly :(

I really get what you're saying, it's a shame we can't edit worlds or make or own. It would make the game so much more enjoyable for a lot of players :/

I am afraid we won't get it because of the way the worlds are constructed. Maybe they'll start selling separate worlds towards the end of TS4 though.. I think they're saving them for GPs and EPs atm to prevent the game from becoming too bulky.

I need this! I feel so hemmed in currently - I have all these amazing ideas that I want to create but I can’t because there’s not enough space. Let’s us hope, OP! Let us hope...

Have they ever said a flat out no like with CASt and open world? I’m not sure if they have, you know! I don’t know. Correct me if I’m wrong!

I used to hope for CAW, but I have given up on it. Even if TS4 had years ahead it still seems a bit late to add such huge thing - that would have also helped themself, had it been implemented earlier.

This would be nice. I would settle for just a few empty worlds with empty lots for me to build on. I’m running out of space. I also like smaller lots which are very few of (I find them more realistic and challenging). I’d like more retail options (actually an overhaul of the retail feature) where I could place up to 3 stores on one lot. Like even leasing real estate space for store and just running that part of space. And building a retail area. Magnolia promenade is garbage (it has only 4 lots). I wish they added shelves and display cases and retail interactions. Not much to choose from now. I wish they added new types of real estate or retail spaces like galleries, stylists, car dealerships (adding cars would help), thrift stores and so many more. It’s just such an underdeveloped area. I want grocery stores (combine it with farming) where my sim can go shopping and not just have things spawn in inventory or get stuff on computer. I hate the sell into the imaginary world of disappearance. It’s just not good game play. It lacks challenge and it isn’t fun. I don’t want all my sims to be business tycoons. I want some of them to just work in a store or manage one or be able to hire my other sims who would keep that job. I’d like traits like schmoozer, slacker, etc. I’d like challenges like employee of the month. Retail now sucks (there isn’t even an aspiration that would match it) and I want an empty world I can at least build on even if I can’t create it from scratch (that would be nice, but I’d settle for another newcrest or two I can make my own). Sims 2 open for business was so much better. It was not perfect, but sims 4 version was a huge downgrade. The build mode is so much better is sims 4 then previous sims versions, while game play still pales compared to predecessors, but it’s disappointing that in the improved build mode I can’t build a decent store because there are only a few shelves and display racks and the retail option is so badly developed.

I would really like to be able to paint green grass in the area around the lake in Oasis Springs. Why is it desert when there is so much water? Or is that a mirage?

I think that if there was a Create-a-World Feature, there would have to be something similar to gallery sims and builds. Depending on the types of tools used, it may be harder to make what you want - similar to the terrain tools. They're hard to use sometimes and can be finicky so there would have to be a way to get "bases" that we could manipulate to be what we want to play in.

Only they can know the answer. I mean we don't even know how Seasons will work until they released the Season expansion. It will work if they decided to work on it. Looks like at this moment they don't. If they are not working on Whims, how much more a CAW?

Before this thread gets shut down, No, I do not see an Create an World as the game is over seven years old and I have no faith them doing the job right and all I have to look at is what was done to Sims City 2013 and how well that went. as far features goes I believe Sims 4 has peaked and all they can do is throw in stuff and fluff.
