is this a characteristic of erratic?
one of my sims has witnessed 2 deaths and she got no sad moodlet for either of them. i thought at first it was because she has the evil trait, but her mum has that trait too and she got the sad moodle...

It's probably not the trait. I've never played an erratic sim but I'm pretty sure I've had sims before that should have been sad about someone dying but they didn't technically "witness" it, so they weren't.
