Is this suppose to happen?

I have an infant who had lighter caucasian skin tone born to Eliza Pancakes. I had Yared Eliza's husband who is darker skinned adopt her, and she got his skin tone. Is this suppose to happen? I was just wondering. I don't generally adopt born in game sims, so this is a first for me. I do use MCC mod and a couple other mods so maybe that is why.

This is Lisa before adoption.

That is Yared who adopted her, and what Lisa looks like now.

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying/what you're wanting, but you can change a sim's skin tone by typing in the cheat cas.fulleditmode and then going into cas.
  • I think there might be a bug with skintones. My 7D legacy twins' skintones changed to their dad's light blue skintone when my sim would pick them up from the bassinet. When she would put them back down it would be a light white. Once they aged up to infants their skintone matched their father.

I haven't had a chance to update my mods, so it may be mod related.
  • I have MCCC (plus some mods and cc skintones) and tried it out. The adopted child didn't take on the same skintone. Was it instantaneous?

I have CC default skin. It was instant. The babies would be a "natural" skintone in the bassinet, and as soon as my sim picked them up to feed them, they would turn to the lightest blue tone, which is their father's skintone. He's an alien.

Like I said, I haven't been able to update my mods since the last update because I've been busy this week.
  • I've been having problems with my infants too lol, they turn invisible. If you want to change their skin tone, you can use cas.fulledit mode.

Thank you. Yeah I know I can change it, as mcc will let me too, but I am saying I was wondering if it was suppose to happen that as soon as she was adopted she took on her adopted dad's skin tone. Just wondering if other people were experiencing it.

Yeah that is what I was thinking, but as far as I know all my mods which aren't many are updated. Maybe I will roll back game and disable mods and see if it happens.

Wow that sounds worse than mine. I hope when you update mods it doesn't happen anymore.

    Thank you.

Well that is weird that you didn't experience it. I don't have any cc skintones and just a few mods besides mcc. But yep it was instantaneous that is why it was weird. I guess now she will feel like she belongs more, although she has step brothers and sisters who are white sooo lol.

Thank you for checking it out.

Wow I hope whatever is causing your issues gets fixed. My infant changing color definitely not bad compared to turning invisible. Thank you, yeah I know I can take into CAS and change her skin tone. Not sure if I am going to, but probably will as I am used to her being the original way. I have been playing her for quite a while now.

I recently had a couple where the dad is blue because he's the son of an alien and the mom has a dark skintone have a baby that was super pale white, actually sorta ashen. It caught me very off guard lol. Granted, I know dark skinned people can and do sometimes have very light skin babies, but I don't think the game is purposely incorporating that.
