lounging itself is patched into base game tho, not really an Island Living thing technically. sunbathing is. mermaids can be played in other worlds, they just seem unfinished to me, specifically lacking animations, even in the ocean, but especially without. i like what they do have, they just need a bit more. (an animation to swim underwater like humans, tail in tub and kiddie pool, option to eat kelp and raw fish, few more unique moodlets, etc.) beach lots without ocean swimming, kinda meh. hopefully they’ll be able to fully open the water eventually. lots of/most odd jobs are in Sulani as far as i know (i haven’t played with those much yet but i know the Gurus mentioned them taking you to Sulani). cleaning the beaches is also still exclusive to Sulani, even if you’re just visiting.

i’m really hoping once they drop 32-bit support that it’ll be less of an “either or” too, haha. don’t know how much that will change or how much they intend for it to. i like the Sims 4. i love the artstyle and plenty other things about it. i just think it’s full of potential, and i hate seeing it (sometimes) fail to reach that potential, at least in my eyes. i think some other packs and features have been wonderful improvements over previous games. this one specifically is just something i’ve been waiting on (especially mermaids), so i wish it was a bit better.
