Island living problem with chess

Hi everyone. My sim is living in Sulani, off the grid and I bought her a chess table. Two chairs are attached accordingly. She can play chess, but hardly ever she can invite anyone playing or there is an option available "play chess with". Even when she has invited friends over, and they are on her lot. Sometimes it gives option to invite some random sims who are nearby to play chess, but they never show up playing anyways. I wonder what am I doing wrong?
