Island living vs snowy escape

I actually prefer Snowy Escape. I was excited about Island Living but upon playing it, (and I used the freerealestate cheat to secure quarters for my Sims), it quickly got old. I'm not into having strangers just let themselves into my Sims' home, let alone my Sims having to 'entertain' them in order to be hospitable as is the 'custom'. Plus, there is precious little to do there. No restaurants, only a bar and that gets really tiresome after awhile. And while others have suggested there's not much to SE, I disagree entirely. My Sims have gone a total of four times, in two separate game saves, and I'm not tired of it. Now, perhaps when they finally get to climb the mountain I may feel differently. They got a brief taste of it, but were attempting to climb that first level in bad weather. My Global Superstar fell from the wall not once, but twice. Got a notice he was severely injured, so I sent them all home. He has level 9 in Rock Climbing, too.

I do think it's all in what you like, yourself. I grew up in a Beach Town, decades ago and I don't like SAND. Pesky stuff that gets into one's bathing suit bottoms and wreaks havoc. I'm also no longer 'allowed' to sunbathe. Skin cancer runs in my family. I have since grown to loathe the notion of it. LOL But, that's just me. Take or leave my opinion as you will.
