It's Gone

I have a particular goal for this Sim and for some odd reason (perhaps self-sabotage?) I can't get him there. I have no clue how many times I've restarted. I had started with just his parents back in 2015, I want to say, I know it was after I used him as my Founder for the Pinstar Legacy Challenge. I simply wanted more time with him. So I decided to play on Long. And also decided to start with just Joseph and Louise. I allowed the children to be born in game. Once Erik was a Toddler, I aged him up to see if he looked like himself, with the notion I would substitute the Toddler for the YA Sim in my library, and then age him back to Toddler. Somehow that game got totally corrupted. That was my first actual restart. But many have ensued, mostly due to a Patch dropping and my game went wonky. (Interestingly enough, it was a Patch, but not one that had dropped, this time.) What is it with me and Patches? At any rate, I downloaded the Cantrell family (parents and all five kids). I saved them with their skills. To my surprise Erik is already a Global Superstar. So, now I just have to have him crank out songs. So, at least he doesn't have to rise in fame. Oi, what a day.
