Earthworms. They eat compost and poop out dirt. How my family does gardening using that dirt. It is actually a lot cleaner than pigs eating compost.

Yeah, it is most likely a compost, it's actually kind of a neat idea, but the box looks a lot like the bee box though.

You can eat crickets :) My local grocery store sells cricket flour and dried crickets.
