Oh, I have a new one of my own. It's pretty sad when your Sim's wife loses her father on a Friday, and then your Sim loses his own Father on the following Monday, which was a holiday. Yeah. I've got the funeral set up for Drake for Tuesday, and now one set up for Joseph on Thursday. Joe has eight grandchildren. Drake was the grandfather to five of them. (Triplet daughters married Joe's three sons.) The toddlers in one family won't stop crying. The eldest who just aged up to Child is equally upset. Right now my game is full of sadness. Not why I play the game … just sayin'.
That sure is a lot of mournful events in a short period of time! However, it's a life simulator so I guess you have to take the sad along with the happy I suppose! I do think The Sims 4 has done better lately with balancing out the constant happy happy with the introduction of sentiments at least. I prefer my sims to go through a broad pool of emotions anyway.
Yes, I do agree, which is why I haven't rolled back a game save to side-step the deaths. I am very sorry, however, that I didn't set it on MCCC for deaths to happen on lot. I thought headstones/urns were available in build/buy mode under the hidden objects. Well, there are two headstones, but one is on the crooked side and the urn is Grandmother's urn. You can't inscribe the urn. But, luckily, I was able to inscribe the headstone, even though it doesn't look very much like the one you get if you move the urn into the yard. Oh, well. I'm playing with a brand new mod that KS made available to the public just yesterday. I was able to select the Event: Memorial Service, so I set up the backyard, accordingly. However, once your Sims arrive the Host can beckon them to the funeral (rabbit hole). When they return, one of the goals is to inscribe the headstone. Happy I was, that I found these two. So, I was able to complete that goal.

And now that I better know what to expect at this Event, then I'll be better prepared for Joe's service in two game days. :open_mouth:
