Japanese restaurant
My plan is for my sim to own a Japanese Restaurant in Mt. Komorebi. Will the kotatsu tables be able to place in restaurants and sims be seated at them?

oh wait, I read the question wrong. I believe the same goes for kotatsu because you make your own food. I mean, nothing stops you from using one in your restaurant, but you will be charged at the table when making the food instead of after the meal. Wish they had integrated these features.
