Jewelry - What crystals/metals suit what sim/world?

I love diversity between most of my worlds, and I also want some resources to either be more common or more popular with certain regions or groups of sims. Most RL gems have certain qualities (I'll need to research). I know Vampires will avoid jewelry based on silver metal, and I assume the new Moonstone crystal will be popular with werewolves and perhaps in Glimmerbrook as well.

What more logics might the long list of metals and crystals hide?

  • Jade maybe for Mt.Komorebi / Sulani / Selvadorada / Tomarang area for me

as for vampires avoiding silver I'm half and half I think I will say that the jewellery has to be intentionally charged for it to be harmful just because I am vampire and I like silver jewellery

    Added the Jade geo preference.

I'm not well skilled in vampirology, and definitely not in Simingalvampirolgy :) I normally think of vampires in a black and white picture, where silver candelabres will work better than gold, but maybe they are jjust made of something else? Or maybe it's only a silver cross symbol that is real painful to them. Wish I knew a real vamp that I could ask :)

In Simmingalogy we refer to these things as simple distractions from the fact that it is sunlight that kills us

some of which were totally made up to our benefit along the way
    Spoiler
For instance once there was vampire who realized that if she got garlic bread for everytime someone accused her of being vampire she would be happy gal... you can guess what happened next ?

and some of which are maybe true in some way but not entirely
    Spoiler
for instance that one time certain vampire lord decided to sail the seas and it didn't go so well and he didn't return home so whole clan of vampires determined sea is a nono but many centuries later turns out it wasn't the sea it was the sun reflected by the sea that was the problem?‍♀️

Oh or that weird thing about shining in sunlight?
    Spoiler
yeah sorry edward just loved glitter and he used to bathe in it I don't know what to tell you about that chap tbh he was weird all together and we never really got along much

I think the religious imagery kind of depends
    Spoiler
I don't mind visiting the church to play pipe organ and the gothic ones are pretty cool but aunt hilda just hates it as she remembers that one time she went to church to escape the sun but it had very thin old glass ceiling and the people were intolerably weird talking about some holy dude or whatnot 0/10 would not recommend... well that and their tendency to stab and bury you if you hibernate in one of their coffins

Anyhow to get back to original subject of the thread I wonder what gem it was that was used to summon grim I already forgot but i definitely think it should be very rare one sim thing in my save

and I might choose some gem just for Bella Goth for example :)

    Strangerville: silver and turquoise

Oasis Springs: gold and Rose Gold (panning) or veins in forgotten grotto. Quartz, Rose Quartz, and Amber and Peach Quartz

Moonwood Mill: Moonstone, Furium, and Nitlite

    Glimmerbrook: Rainborz, Amethyst, Alabaster, Plathinum

Forgotten Hollow:, Death Metal, Sadnum, Flamingonium, Fire Opal, Jet,

    Mt. Komorebi: Jade

Copperdale: since we don’t have copper, I’ll go with Ironium and Pyrite,

Willow Creek: and :Newcrest: since they are basegame: I’d pick Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Citrine, and gold

Magnolia Promenade: I assume the hospital is there so I’d say, Hematite

    Del Sole Vslley: Shinolite, Solarium

Tartosa: Gold, Rose Gold, plathinum, Romanism, and Diamond

These are just some of the places I might put some of the crystals and metals….. lol….. most of them I went by names, a few I went by the type of area, and with Willow creek and Newcrest I just picked some more traditional gems and metals used.
  • There is neighborhood called Plumbite Cove in Copperdale so perhaps that for Copperdale as well?

Wow, that's massive, thanks! Greo was added to the list.
