Jungle Adventure huh?

...Hmm... Am I the only one absolutely not interested in this pack? Even Laundry Day interests me more (and I'm waiting to get that until it's on sale. It's NOT worth $10). The only pack even more boring is the Outdoor Retreat, which i have regretted buying ever since I got it. I have NEVER actually gone to the vacation area; it's so utterly pointless).

I think this will be the first game pack I won't get. Will be annoying if I download stuff from the Gallery having to make sure it looks good without this pack, but "getting a bigger selection in the gallery" is not a good enough reason for me.
Absolutely nothing in this pack is interesting to me.

  • I'm not into vacation packs or Outdoor Retreat either but Jungle Adventure is a pretty great back. It reminds me of The Sims 2 Castaway in many ways and I love the culture aspect of the pack.
And the CAS & B&B are both great.

It's not as lame as it may same. There is actually a lot to do in Selvadorada.

    What the previous person said.

To each their own, of course, but don't make the mistake of basing your expectations on your experiences with Outdoor Retreat. Granted, you may not even have any experiences because you said yourself that you never even went to Granite Falls, but I did, and other than the scenery being beautiful, it gets boring very quickly.

Selvadorada, on the other hand, offers a lot more to do and explore. Jungle Adventure is actually the first GP I bought on release day at full price, and I'm still enjoying it. But to answer your question: No, you're probably not the only one who just isn't interested in a pack like that, and that's fine.
  • I understand what you mean but honestly Outdoor Retreat is so different in a lot of ways. Jungle Adventure is way more fun and has a lot to do leaving aside the vacation thing. I found exploring Selvadorada pretty fun and you can make a lot of money by finding treasures... not to mention the awesome furniture, but maybe that's because I'm spanish and the furniture reminds me to spanish furniture and it makes me happy
  • The thing is... I absolutely detested whatsitsname? The vacation thing from Sims 3.
Tomb puzzles... I just bought Tomb Raider Underworld for $0.80 on Steam on a sale. It costs $2 normally. I daresay Tomb Raider does Tomb Raiding better than Sims.
I never played Castaway, I had left Sims 2 behind at that point.

I tend to find "spending time away from home" in Sims games disappointing and annoying at best, boring and frustrating at worst. I hated the vacation pack for Sims 1, as well.

As for the culture part... Meh. Well the dance styles look mildly interesting. And the skeleton? No thank you. I want a proper Servo, please.

Nope. There are probably plenty of simmers who feel the same.

We all play different. If you play the family and home, then there are packs available to you to enrich that. If you don't like leaving the home lot, then don't buy the pack! You don't need anyone to convince you to change your play style.

Me? Oddly enough I hated going out in s3 ( except for WA because that is the only pack I liked from that game) but in 4, I want to go out every time I play. I've found I am not a home player and don't enjoy playing families and kids and toddlers and all that. But I LOVE traveling and getting out and doing things with them.

Don't want to go on a trip? Then the pack is not what you are looking for. It's really quite simple.
  • yeah, i just bought it and my sim caught fire right next to water. what does he do? complain about being on fire right next to a pool of water until he fucking died. fucking bullshit
