I was able to click on my sim and it said extinguish self. She pulled out a fire extinguisher and saved herself the second time. The first time, she died and I had to restart.
Thanks for everyones feedback. :) My sims both had two water bottles on them and I couldn't click on them to extinguish self. So maybe I did encounter a bug. :/
