I'm a bit torn, but I guess these smaller 'store' packs have been around since The Sims 2, so it's not entirely new. If the team focuses on bug fixes as well (so that the game stays stable), I think it can be a good thing after all. Some players finally have a chance to get very specific content that they'd like. I can see them making a Medieval Kit for example, a science one, one that expands office, Museum or Gym gameplay, etc.
