I don't mind too much. I am going to get the ones that I really like and ignore the others. Which is what I think Maxis intended for the kits anyways. So far I only got the Courtyard Oasis one, as I just loved the look and thought it would compliment my game well. It's not pricey, so I don't mind getting a few. But I really wish they'd really go to town with testing and making sure the kits don't bring more bugs to the game that the modders will have to fix for us.
I like the idea of the kits bringing more focused content, so everyone can pick what they like. But I usually prefer to add more official gameplay elements, as there are so many good CC for BB/CAS. But I was so disappointed with the BtD kit being so bugged. So for any new gameplay kit I will wait for reviews and let's plays to see if that's something I want to add to my game.
