Some of the new kits look interesting, but can we have some more transparency in threads about who is being gifted these kits by EA as part of their Creator Network or other programs when sharing screenshots or gameplay? I know that these threads/replies aren't undisclosed ads and users aren't obligated to say, but it's confusing and sometimes it feels like hidden ads.

Heya HaneulFier
In the interest of full transparency, anyone you see posting in the Sims subforums that has a Hero or Hero+ role receives content for The Sims 4 for free as part of the Community Connections Program.
However, there are no affiliate links or Support a Creator codes being shared in these threads, and nobody is linking offsite to their personal sites or other social media.
These are just fun threads to show off builds, or what you're hyped about in the content we're releasing.

Thanks for clarifying!

This is what I was confused about. I don't think it's stated clearly anywhere that Hero/Hero+ receive kits or packs for free. Instead, they receive "Spontaneous Physical and Digital gifts" according to the link. I know that all the Hero members love the game and are just sharing their excitement, but for transparency's sake, I really appreciate that you clarified that they often receive more than just 2 EA titles for free.
Everyone isn't rushing to purchase the kits at release to share feedback here. Instead, several are just redeeming their gifts and posting unsponsored/free thoughts.

Interesting.
This explains a lot. I knew it.
Thank you! 🙂
Edit: They gotta promote the game.... Most of the Hero's on here are extremely helpful and some of them share amazing gameplay.

Thank you for pointing this out. If I watch a youtube video the content creator always states at the beginning of the post if they got a DLC for free, it never occured to me that the same thing was happening on the forum as well. I like seeing the screenshots of new packs but in my decision to spend my hard earned money on DLC it helps to know who actually giving an opinion about a DLC they bought and who is posting about content they got for free. For example I am very happy with some kits I bought, but kind a regret a few I barely use. The desert lux kit would definately fall into that category but since we all got it for free, I give that kit some slack. Getting something for free can influence an opinion about a certain DLC.
I understand it's interesting for EA to have people share pictures and info about new DLC but it can give an impression that more people have actively decided to get a pack. So thank you for being open about this.
