Seems to me that this means that the change away from 32-bit support doesn't have as much to do with pack capability as some of us thought it did. Or perhaps the switch decision happened after this pack was well underway and the timing is related to something else on the technical side. IIRC we've never really had an explanation about why this change is happening. We've just assumed.
