Omg I just had a thought! We can possibly use this to schedule funerals?
Obviously I don't know the logistics of the calendar/ custom holiday creator, but I'm assuming after a Sim dies, you could schedule a dinner party/create a custom holiday where everyone has to wear black, and some socials to celebrate the deceased sims life/mourn. Add a few items with the sad emotional aura just to really ramp up the hysterics, and every year on the same date, have the Sims come together in a memorial if it was an important Sim or the head of the household?
I suppose you could technically do this now, but this will make it so much easier to manage.
I am ridiculously excited for this development and all the possibilities!
That is a very creative idea! I use a custom funeral event mod that works quite nicely but I'd prefer official funerals. It makes no sense that we can't honor the dead in this game. That is something that really needs attention. I am really excited to see the depth of this calendar! It will add so much to everyday gameplay!
I use that mod, too. Just think, now we have an official option in case the mod stops working. I actually pulled it out a while ago because I didn't like the mixologist showing up on all my generic lots, plus sometimes the mod is buggy... I kept the church, though.
But anyway, we can plan a funeral and select the church as the location. I really, really hope that 'cry' (and other sad interactions) can be chosen as a tradition.
