That is a good solution @samlyt22, I actually do that sometimes, but sadly it doesn't work for everything. You can't trigger the GT events (at the bluffs etc.) without being invited.

I could be wrong on that, but I believe that if you choose 'Dance Party' i n social events menu, it's pretty much the same as when you get a text 'Hey! I've heard there's a party on the Bluffs...'. I think that DJ will show up then, and all that good stuff.
