I hope you give Patchy a try. I have him in all my saves if they garden at all (almost every family does). He is great at watering and weeding. He doesn't harvest for your goods. For me, he has always been a pleasant and friendly 'person' and has never done any harm to my plants. I would be curious to hear if anyone has. He does give a good boost to garndening skill if you ask for Gardening tips. And of course, searching for seeds in his pocket is fun too. He ends up an honorary member of my families.
I think it would be awesome if Patchy's kids had special gardening abilities, but I guess they are just normal Sims.
I try to have bees for the garden, but most of my households have not had luck with getting their relationship up with the bees. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I just end up getting stung. A lot. Does anyone know if they still do any good?
I was sad that Seasons changed gardening so much. It is really painfully slow now.
