From what I've noticed, a lot of simmers are bothered by it, someone even made a mod to add seasons back to the world. It's almost non stop rain and thunderstorms in my world now. If anything it should have been an option in game settings whether you wanted weather changes in the world or not.
edit: actually so many people were bothered by it that they took to twitter/x and harassed simguruninja to the point of him deactivating his account there. Honestly that is disgusting behavior, one can be unsatisfied with a feature and voice your opinion in a civilized matter without being rude.
...and so they should be.
