In term of design, Maxis didn't think about the resurrection of NPC ghosts wearing ghost outfits.

Big yikes: I just confirmed this in my own game.  Who on earth thought this was good programming?  I love this pack overall, but THIS--forcing us to cull our Sims without our permission or even giving us a warning in order to perform an active career--is not even a LITTLE bit okay.  Please re-visit this, EA.

TYSM for your reply, so they put option to become playable ghost in base game ! But i always use death.toggle cause when i first started playing, sims seemed to only wanna die, like any way imaginable i got fed up quick after loosing a sim i had worked on alot, and i really hate that kinda evil **bleep** personally. So i never have to see those ugly animations that make me wanna puke ! lol we will see, i mean if i can play without ever seeing the reaper it will be fine. I really have a psychological issue with this evil figure.... makes me sick litterally!

But i have played ghosts in the past, like years ago and had relationships w them too, but i dont want that anymore i dont have any occults in my game and i worked hard to remove them all, and same w ghosts i chose to have a simulation of life with this game. No death, no ghosts! If or when this game turns into something i do not like and do not want and i do not have a choice, then there are plenty of other games to chose to waste my time on...

I watched a youtube video of Kate Emerald about the houses she contributed. I wanted to play in the starter but was surprised that the sims team edited the house. The version in the game is smaller than the one Kate Emerald made with the result that it is no longer functional. The upstairs bathroom is gone, the downstairs bathroom has a toilet that can't be used. There is a nightstand blocking the toddler bed. There are also some items like lamps, the lower bunk of a bunkbed and some other items missing. I thought the entire point of asking simmers to create the houses was to avoid situations like these. I feel sorry for Kate Emerald, she created such a beautiful build and it was messed for the final release.

Also there is one dress in CAS for male sims. This should have been hidden. It is great to have filters to allow cross dressing for those who are interested in that kind of stuff. But they shouldn't be in the regular catalogue.

Ghosts have always existed in the game, that didn't change. And you can combine ghosts with other occults, just like you could before the update. That didn't change either. But if you have the new pack they will also get a skill tree and can unlock special powers. The new worlds comes with households with ghosts in them. You would have to get rid of them if you want to avoid ghosts. And best avoid the grim reaper career because it is all about occult gameplay. For the realism side this pack offers funerals and wills.

There was also a base game update. When a sims dies in the game you now get a pop up where you can choose if you want them to become a playable ghost or a free roaming ghost. Free roaming ghosts are basically they way it used to be before the update. With the new pack you get a third option to get reborn if you meet the requirements. In your case after the death of a sim you would have to click on the tombstone/urn to release the spirit to the netherworld. That way the ghost will be gone from your save. But this is base game from now on, even without any DLC

..so i was wondering what all changes to the base game the latest update brought and i read somewhere about the ghosts becoming an occult class, so my question is; is it related to the pack or is it imposed on base game ?  Like if i wanted no occults at all, i would re install my game w/o get to work and island living, maybe discover university. this way i wouldnt have any occults in my game... which was my intent! So would i still have ghosts to deal with? i really dont play occults lmao they are too much work

Interesting. I wonder if it's because they are ghost and you can't really call a ghost up on the phone...

It sounds like the call interaction is not well planned in the game for ghost. I don't own the EP but this is good information. 🙂

Bad news! This exact problem has been reported here on Answer HQ. Just as I feared: it doesn't complete in Moonwood Mill, but it will complete in Glimmerbrook.
