- It was 18+ only in Russia, and that was because the Russian government considers 'LGBT stuff' bad. In most countries, it's 12+.

Since this an adult game...
Actually, it's a 12+ game. The fact that 18+ mods exist doesn't make it an adult game on its own.
If it's possible to create custom lifestyles/sentiments with mods, I'd say it's inevitable for the big modders to get into this. And I wouldn't be surprised if that included the major 18+ mods.
...
well it started off as an adult game... not 12 plus. And mods only benefits computer based sims the ones on console don’t have mods. Which makes the game VERY BORING .
That depends on where the game is sold.
Example: Conan Exiles, a survival sandbox game released by a European based company called Funcom. In Europe, Conan Exiles has an 18+ rating. Where as in the US, Conan Exiles has an M rating because of it's content. But both the European and the US copies are rated for adults only.- Sharooonia5 years agoNew SpectatorI turned them off but some how my sims are still gaining them and being affected emotionally by them.

My only experience so far was horrible. My sim went to Uni and gave a tutor session there to complete Academic aspiration. Immediately after it she got "People's person" lifestyle. Though she's actually almost a loner. She was cramming in Uni and nether was friendly with another sims in the dorm. She has zero notifications about working towards lifestyle and then bam... "People's person". Then she immediately became sad about losing a friend but she had a very few to start with and all of them were still friends with her. And then I was receiving non-stop notifications that all her family members were receiving the very same lifestyle "People's person". I'm sorry how another uncontrolled household is supposed to receive them? I've tried to turn this thing off. I received notification that all current lifestyles will be deleted. Great. I've changed the settings, saved and in several minutes received notification that another one of my sims received "People's person" lifestyle...
In the end I have to roll back to backed-up version before lifestyle was received. Turn them off there and go on pretending nothing happened. I think this feature need even more tuning and testing than NAPS. Also I have a feeling the design is badly thought. Why no lifestyles connected to crafting/creativity/music??? Too bad I have to disable and dismiss a new feature showed as innovative and game-changing from the start.
This sounds like a bug! I don't know why your family would be receiving the lifestyle when unplayed. However, People Person is by far the easiest one to get unfortunately. I really hope they decide to raise the amount of friends for a people person to have in order to receive it as a lifestyle. It's far too low now. I downloaded a mod to make it be 10 friends at least which makes sense.
What mod is this @alan650111 ? I had no luck on google, but it sounds like a mod I really need in my game! It occurs far too often and easily. A Loner should not be a People Person.
I'm also a little annoyed by the Outdoors lifestyle - I send my sim swimming in the ocean in the morning, then by the evening he's got the negative "cooped up indoors" moodlet again (meanwhile, there's a heavy storm outside...).
I like the idea of lifestyles, I just think they're maybe a bit heavy handed at times (which is a problem I have with moodlets in general). - alan6505 years agoNew Spectator

Thank you! <3 - netney525 years agoNew SpectatorAll of my sims in one household got the same lifestyles of people person and single and loving it even those in relationships. They added nothing to my game and I have now disabled them.
- Well when I was a kid and growing up up north you had to be 18+ to buy the game. I can’t speak for everyone but I know I used to have to have an adult family member go buy the game for me.

That's exactly what happened in my Legacy. I have Lifestyles turned off, except in this one save where I want to play by the rules.
The sim's friends were: His deceased father, his husband, their baby in the crib, his cousin, the cousin's dog and a vendor in Selvadorada. I believe a Loner with that many friends actually might consider himself a people person ;)
Seems like a sim is either Close Knit or a People Person, nothing in between.- I will say it makes me rethink how I play in some ways. For example, all my sims could potentially end up as a People Person, that bar is way too low. My sims can make a polite introduction and become good friends with someone instantly. That is too easy. So maybe now I’ll use that intro less. But still, I play rotationally so they are constantly making friends and enemies with townies while I’m not playing them. Can’t control it.
I’m not really bothered by the Lifestyles (yet) but it highlights the faults in the game when these don’t match up with what one would expect.
