I think deleting the object if you've already placed it might also cause a problem. Here's a summary from @crinrict's site:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2018/12/error-1029285f331/
I had the object but didn't have the travel issues -- deleted it and still no problems (though I'm playing one of my other families where I never bought Lin-Z right now).
I was having no travel issues either, but turns out I did have the issue on 3 sims, the sisters of my active sim who regularly visit her. I was able to load the game fine, and travel and do all kinds of things with all the sims who have visited...so I thought I was in the clear. BUT, when I went to travel to visit one of her sisters in their actual home lot...I got the error.
It was at that point I tested each of the sister's homes...and all 3 had the issue, unable to visit their homes, also unable to switch to active control of their homes. Error messages.
I did @crinrict's fix though, and everything is good now. Here are the steps I took to fix it:
After reloading the game, I went to every single household in the game and loaded it as if i were going to actively play.. all is clear. Thank the Llamas for @luthienrising and @crinrict for sharing the workaround!
I could have just reverted to my save backup from before the patch, but doing this was more fun. With MCCC's ability to summon sims, add to active household, or move to some other household...it was very, very quick. Would have taken longer to fix it if I had to do all of that through game mechanics.
