If your sim is an aspiring actor, and has at least a level 5 or higher in the Acting skill, have them perform Risky actions while on-the-job with them. It'll help them gain fame and a career promotion...

I believe the risky actions can be completed successfully below level 5, they're generally tied to if you did your research and prepped before the work day. For example you might get asked to improve your handiness skill, and then you might have a repair scene. You're more likely to do the risky option well if you did the matching prep.
